Exam Season

Hello hello,

Another quick update. It won't be too exciting as I don't have any pics to upload as I haven't done anything!

I am happy to say that I passed my first exam on Thursday after a lot of revision! Three more left to go... Unfortunately they are the worst ones and I am having to double my efforts as some of the material is so awful I don't even understand it... I am hoping that if I study hard enough and learn the material I will be able to pass regardless of whether I actually grasp all the concepts! It is very tough trying to study for a subject that you don't like, don't understand and is in your second language - let me tell you!

12 days until I get to go back home though, so that is keeping me motivated!!

Looking through modules for second semester is not quite as interesting as when I picked my first semester modules as I know now how shit the classes are and I know what to expect from the uni. So I have taken another tactic, I am picking modules based on when the exams are so that I can be home early/mid June for my sister's birthday :D. Hopefully if I pass the modules this semester I won't have to worry so much about second semester and can concentrate on my year abroad project and try to enjoy myself here.

That is all for now, byeeee!

Hello stress!!

Hi chicos, time for a quick update!

So I went home for Christmas and it was AWESOME. After 3months of being away from home, being back was like heaven. I celebrated my 21st birthday there with family and close friends and had a great time. And now I am back.

Welcome back to Spain with exams, revision, essays.... yawn yawn yawn! Sadly alongside this I am also expected to write my dissertation, do the University of Southampton think I am super woman?! I already spend 98% of my time at university and studying and the other 2% sleeping... Realistically if I want to pass these exams I will have to leave my dissertation at this moment because there is no way I can do both.. ¡Que estrés!

You can only imagine the pressure!

On the plus side, I am able to go home for a short while between the end of exams and start of the second semester :D (yes I will still be studying there).

Now this might not sound odd as I am a student, but this certainly doesn't seem like the average blog of an erasmus student to me. They are expected to have fun, travel a lot, be drunk all the time, be happy and not have to worry. Well unfortunately, I can't do this due to the amount of work I have. So when I was home and people asked me, "are you having a great time? Getting to travel around a lot?", my answer is no!

Seeing other people's blogs makes me feel disappointed that I am not able to enjoy my year abroad as much as they seem to be. Oh well such is life and I will be home soon.

Rant over for now, laters xx
